Having trouble attracting followers and engagement on Twitter? Well, you are not alone, neither is it uncommon. Like most other social media websites, Twitter is hard to break into and hard to get noticed in. Because we are living in an attention economy, it’s important to grab attention if one wants to go anywhere on social media.
This post is aimed towards those folks who are finding it hard to get followers or likes or retweets. Hopefully, these 5 tips will come handy for you folks:
1. Twitter Analytics
By using this tool, you will be able to understand what you are doing right and what you should be avoiding. The tools are much handier than you can think of. Through the dashboard, you will get to see all your activities especially the ones that are making your account stronger.
You can explore your followers, their demographics, interests, and locations. Analytics will also help you with Twitter Cards, all things related to that from retweets, apps installation, etc. Make sure; you use Twitter Analytics.
2. Twitter Keyboard Shortcuts
Most people don’t bother to remember shortcuts, but that’s quiet a loss in terms of the time you spend online, also for people who have to deal with low bandwidth. Knowing the shortcuts will only make you an efficient Twitter user. Without using your mouse, you can check notification, post new Tweets and even expand your photos along with a number of other things.
The question remains, how do you get the shortcuts from. Well, you can Google it, or you can go to Twitter and press shift plus question mark and a list of Twitter shortcuts would appear.
3. Twitter Advanced Search
Another Twitter tool one should be making the most of is the Twitter Advanced search. It basically helps you narrow down a search. It can be difficult to navigate Twitter accounts of people who are very active on the platform, especially if you searching for a particular tweet that you would like to use to your advantage.
This is where the tool comes in handy. It’s easy to use. All you will have to do is enter a few things that will help you with the search, like the Twitter handle and the dates within which the tweet must have been made among other things.
4. Create Twitter Lists
This is barely known or even used, but it’s one of the handiest tools ever and should be taken seriously. We’d advise you to give it a try. What you can do is segregate your feed into lists like influencers, customers, so that you can keep a better eye on them.
To create lists, you will have to go to the drop-down menu on your profile, and their select lists and then select create new lists. You can choose to keep it private or public, and the hit saves list.
5. Use Videos
More than anything on social media, videos are performing well. Way better compared to texts posts or picture posts. Create videos of your own and post them with good captions.
These days no one has the attention span of more than 2 minutes, make sure, the videos you make are not too long.
