In Twitter, like several other popular social media platforms building engagement is hard work. One can’t expect to join the platform and start getting followers, likes, and retweets right off the bat. One needs to plan, execute, analyze and then plan some more and repeat the whole process over and over again to bring good engagement with one’s followers.
In this post, we are going to discuss some of the tactics you can apply to boost your Twitter engagement.
1. Mind the Bio
How you set up the profile is of utmost importance because it will reflect your own brand and see the page people will decide whether the profile is worth following. Had you been big companies like Nike and Apple, you probably would have to do anything but people would have fallen in line.
Make sure there is a proper cover image as well as a profile picture. Write a short, snappy but informative bio and don’t forget to link up your website or the landing page you want people to visit when they hit the link.
2. Engage With Your Followers
Now once you start having a follower who after seeing your fantastic post start retweeting and even replying to your posts, you will need to reply back as immediately as you can.You can leave a text reply or post a gif, whatever seems appropriate to you.
Also, make sure of getting real people to reply and not bots. If things start getting too crazy, just hire someone to take care of Twitter on a fulltime basis. But also make sure that you are not just relying on but also trying to draw people into a conversation.
3. Make Call-to-Actions
Now there are several kinds of posts that you can make, but we would strongly tell you to make posts with a call to actions once or twice a week because that will bring engagement. Ask provocative questions that you know will force a lot of people reply and probably a lot of people will share the post.
Don’t make such posts in the onset when you barely have an understanding of your followers. When you do begin understanding your followers, make a related post.
4. Learn to Pin Tweets
Every profile on Twitter has one post that is posted proud of, or it’s of utmost importance so why not pin that post. Pinning of the post has some direct benefit.
That is that the first things that appear when people visit your page so if you have a landing page pin it if you are doing a giveaway pin the rules if you have an event coming, pin it. Use the features that the platform provides to make the most of it.
5. Use Analytics
Like we said above to make the most of what the platform is providing free of cost. Use the tools that Twitter provides because they are handy and also they are more accurate than any external tools.
Using they you can see what sort of post is making the most impact on your Twitter profile. Use the data to make your profile more appealing.
